The daytime high temperature will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees on Wednesday, July 5, but due to the mostly sunny skies and the high humidity, it will feel like it's 100 degrees in much of the region. (See the image above from AccuWeather.com.)
After a one-day break, the chance for precipitation returns on Thursday, July 6 and will continue on a daily basis into next week.
It will be dry for most of the day, with a mix of clouds and sun and a high temperature again around 90 degrees. The window for possible scattered showers and storms is from the early to late afternoon.
Friday, July 7 will be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the upper-80s. The chance for showers and storms will last from the mid-afternoon until early in the evening.
There will be more clouds on Saturday, July 8, with breaks of sun at times, and a high temperature in the mid-80s. Storms and showers are possible from the afternoon through late in the evening.
The outlook for Sunday, July 9 calls for mostly cloudy skies, which will keep the high temperature from climbing out of the low 80s.
Scattered showers and storms could pop up from the early morning into late in the evening.
